But I’m not going to spend my last ever Nicola comment and blog piece moaning about David, no matter how infuriating he is.

It may have taken the PP a bit of time getting used to jungle life but after escaping the dump that was Away Camp, she took to it like Martina does every time Wimbledon comes around.

Her Bushtucker Trials were inspiring, her many Celebrity Chest victories were awesome and her bitching was hilarious. Throughout the show she was strong and straight-talking.

But our Nicola saved her best moment to last by getting George to pose as a glamour model – absolutely priceless.

I can’t believe she didn’t at least make the final – even I have to admit that Joe would’ve been hard to beat – but she’s done us proud nevertheless.

Well done Nicola and good luck with everything that follows. After all, if Jordan can have her own show and perfumes, so can you.

And our Nicola is certainly in one of those situations with David Van Bizarre who, after a week of constantly winding up the Peterborough Princess, is now insisting on flirting with her.

I’m not being funny, but where did that come from? Does he seriously think he will get into the hearts of the good people of this country by acting so contradictory? Or does he just not care?

I suspect the later, as he clearly has no regard for any sort of friendship with any of the junglists – I mean, look at the way he has treated Joe, who has done nothing but stick up for David since his innocuous late entrance.

Well at least clever clogs Nicola is on his trail as David’s no good tactics need nipping in the bud right away. Nobody wants to see the sort of things David’s doing.

Come on people, stop voting for him and let’s have some sanity back in the camp for their final few days.

But while the film reel is being burnt to stop her antics from making any of the highlight shows, I have to admit I was surprised – and disappointed - to see Esther go.

Although a bit mumsy – we won’t forget the the way she put out the camp fire and gave everyone a lesson in fire safety – she was the stability of the camp, a friend to our Nicola, and seemed to be up for a laugh too.

But, the Peterborough princess is not short of allies in the camp nowadays, with Martina the latest on board the glamour model’s train of success.

The way the pair teamed up, which was akin to Martina in her Wimbledon doubles days, was a credit to our Nicola’s desire to win a treat for the camp and keep her fellow junglists happy.

Maybe Martina should choose our Nicola for a partnership at next year’s major tennis event – I think there would be a fair few more people watching it then.

The feisty glamour model showed true grit and determination during her first few days in the jungle as she overcame her fears in a number of arduous tests.

Firstly, the Peterborough Princess proved she was more than just a busty blonde by out smarting Dani to win the first Celebrity Chest to win her camp a cheese platter.

In front of eight million viewers, she then proved she had the “bite” (sorry!) to match by out-munching Joe in her first Bushtucker Trial of popular series – who knew that eating kangaroo testicles could be so elegant?

But shortly after, our Nicola started to show her first real signs of struggle when breaking down over missing her loving fiancé Tom and little two-year-old son Rocky.

Nicola even came close to quitting the show and discussed walking with Carly – who was voted out last night – but she has proved she is not a quitter by storming through the adversity to be the smiling camper she is today.

Her time in the jungle hasn’t been without trouble, though, and run ins with David will live long in the memory.

BUT, as the Mayor of Peterborough says, there’s a lot more to come from our Nicola, so keep up the good work and keep voting!

PS i wasn’t hugely disappointed to see Carly go – but good on her for choosing our Nicola as her winner!

The way he came round to finally give our Nicola some credit yesterday and even become her “partner in crime” was great to see. His tantrum was great too!

I must admit, it did come as a bit of a surprise to me after A LOT of behind the back chat from the EastEnder.

But it’s certainly welcome after the Peterborough Princess lost another one of her closest camp buddies, Dani, who was voted off.

Whether it continues, though, remains to be seen because cheeky-chappy Joe seems to have shown a willingness to stand up for camp irritant David Van Sneaky.

And while I’m on the subject of David, if you weren’t already batting for my side when it comes to my dislike of the chap, then surely you are now.

Poor old Robert wasn’t even a step out of the jungle when David jumped into his now vacant bed. Quite right Nicola, it was rude, rude, rude!

The quicker the smirkylooking pop star gets voted off and retreats out of the jungle with his tail between his legs, the better.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m ecstatic the Peterborough Princess has lived to fight another day, but there’s something bugging me – and I don’t just mean Timmy Mallett’s incessant laughing.

And it’s not the disappointment of losing the entertaining and amusing Kilroy, who really turned a corner after his early show bust ups with our Nicola, either.

No there’s only one thing that could cloud my otherwise sunny day and that is, why is David Van Nasty still in the jungle?

Did you hear how many times he had a pop at the Peterborough Princess while screaming like a girl in his trial? Three times – how dare he!

But he didn’t win all 12 stars, like Nicola already has, so I’d keep quiet if i was him.

Surely he’s only been kept in to prolong his agony in the jungle, but keeping him in is also prolonging our agony at hearing his awful Biff Baff Boff tune.

But never fear, you have more chances to vote for Nicola and increase the prospect of getting rid of Van Nasty.

That’s right, tonight our very own Nicola McLean needs every vote she can muster to beat elimination and stay in line for the I’m A Celebrity, Queen of the Jungle crown.

Arguments over food, strops over comments and an abundance of tears – that’s what jungle life is all out.

And it was last night when everything came to the fore as tension built up to an explosion of sarcasm, back chat and down right nastiness.

Our Nicola was right in the middle of it with a fair few niggly comments of her own as she continues to stick up for herself.

But I have to say, I think the glamour model is mostly the victim – rather than the perpetrator that some are making her out to be.

As I see it, the problems started when David biff baff bof’d his way into camp last week and since then, he has been the thorn in the side of camp tranquillity.

His persistent jabs at the Peterborough Princess have been slowly simmering away and it is no surprise that they have boiled over.

My advice, if you don’t like Nicola – and Lord knows I don’t understand how you couldn’t – then stay away David instead of picking on her. Let’s hope daffy Dave is to be voted out!

Last night, the glamour model’s first clever move was to get away from disastrous David while the junglists were paired up for a special quiz.

She then smartly teamed up with brainy Brian, who may be pretty dull but is surely the smartest bear in the woods.

Although, after winning the quiz, you have to question why the team didn’t choose to watch X Factor and our Aston on his journey to stardom!

A third clever insight from Nicola this weekend, which once again leaves me agreeing with the Peterborough Princess… Why do all the other campers have to make everything into such a kerfuffle?

“Am I being over-sensitive about the fact that they turn everything into the biggest drama?” she asked the Bush Telegraph after Esther mothered Simon silly following his unfortunate Bush Battle accident.

You’re not being over-sensitive Nicola, you’re exactly right. Keep up the good work and keep on saying what else is afraid to say!

First we had Kilroy getting everybody worked up with his argumentative, sarcastic banter.

Then we had dull-as-dish-water ex-cop Brian moaning his way around the camp

Now, there’s David Van Day making our nice peaceful camp into one big moody school playground. Thank god we’ve got our Nicola around to keep everybody in check.

“I wouldn’t give up my mascara for anybody,” the Peterborough princess said to the Bush Telegraph when told she would have to give up one of her luxuries so that grumpy David could eat while stuck in the cage.

Quite right Nicola, you wouldn’t see me giving up my Dax Wax for anyone, especially someone as moody as David!

However, an honourable mention has to go to Kilroy. He may have been in more political parties then I’ve had school dinners, but last night’s trial success was quite brilliant.

PS I told you Nicola’s “special” birthday celebration would be worth watching. Priceless.
